The Division of Planning (DOCP) is under the direction of Research Associate Wendel P. Dufour, Jr, and provides planning assistance to local and regional governments and to neighborhood-based organizations in the metropolitan area of New Orleans, as well as to other Divisions within the Department of Planning and Urban Studies:

The Division of Planning utilizes the latest in GIS, database and multi-media technology to provide our clients cutting-edge planning assistance, and employs a full-time staff of three including the Director, an Assistant Planner, and a GIS Coordinator. Additionally, four Graduate Assistants assist the Division of Planning.
